After the holidays, almost after September, and just before Halloween

Our holidays in Krakow went great. I managed to fulfill my social, culinary and culinary plan. It is never enough time for me in Poland, but on the other hand I was happy to return to the USA.

Rose attended a Polish daycare for couple hours a day. Her Polish language greatly profited from this.

Maya was also supposed to attend,  but unfortunately she caught a harmless virus and we decided she will not return to play with other children. Thanks to this, I have now contact with a very nice and effective pediatrician, whose husband is also an American from California. After the visit, following the Doctor advice, we bought a reliable gadget for children – Katarek, a device to be attached to the vacuum to

Together with Dean managed to go  to Zakopane. It was raining almost all the time, but it did not bother us much. Finally, for the first time in over three years we had a few days without children. There was a spa, cinema, highlander delicacies, waffles, and nothing to do since early morning hours. I was happy that Dean had already been to Zakopane, because even a piece of Giewont could not be seen through the fog.

Krakow, I repeat myself, there is no other place. Walks around the Market Square, streets, my favorite nooks and crannies – this is the quintessence of my return to Europe.

In Berkeley, the speed does not slow down either. The end of the renovation is prolonged by the infinite, children’s colds, parks, friends, we do not complain about boredom.

We signed Rose up to the Polish Saturday school (classes 2/3 times a month). Up to now she is very happy, and I am pleasantly surprised that the children speak Polish and do not hear much English. The school is about 40 minutes away by car from Berkeley. There is a very nice playground, much bigger than in a kindergarten in Berkeley. In December I will even have an on-call service with the help of children. At the same time, when Róża polishes the Polish language, Dean attends Polish lessons. Most of the classes are Americans, Polish husbands.

Reconciling the fact that we have a family on two continents is very difficult, especially with two small children and still with one income.

I would like to let one year fly with children, organizational unrest, jet lag, but the idea that we are only going to fly in two years is not easy.

Girls and we always use these trips. Róża and Maja became friends during the holidays together.

Back to Berkeley, In the shops on the shelves, sweets piles are waiting for Halloween, I already feel that Christmas and Thankgiving and Christmas are approaching. I hope that time will be a bit slower and I will write a few blog entries before the New Year. Maybe you have some questions about the US?
